On this edition of In The Circle on Fastpitch News, we are joined by LSU's Head Coach Beth Torina who talks about the Tigers upcoming season, the new faces in the program and the impact that Walljasper and Hoover have had on the Tigers program.
She also shares her philosophy on scheduling top 10 teams every season since she been in Baton Rouge. LSU had the toughest schedule in 2017 as well as in 2015.
We then look back at her years coaching with the USSSA Pride as an assistant coach from 2010 and 2011 and Head Coach in 2012 and how it impacted her as a coach. She was part of the Pride's NPF Championship in 2010 as an assistant coach.
Coach talks about why LSU has been so successful in elimination games winning ten straight regional and super regional eliminations game in a row including coming back to knock off James Madison in 2016 and Florida State 2017 in the Super Regionals.
Finally, we discuss who influenced her to go into coaching after her playing career at Florida and the advice she gives to young coaches who are getting into coaching while also raising a family.
